According to police, a shooting occurred Wednesday evening at a mall in El Paso, Texas. The shooting resulted in the deaths of one person and the injuries of three others, sending customers fleeing the scene or seeking shelter in a community that was left scarred three years ago by a shooting massacre at a store just down the road.
More than a dozen people were seen running away from the sound of gunshots on surveillance video from a bar inside the mall, and later, paramedics wheeled in a stretcher. Hours after the shooting, El Paso police said that two people had been taken into custody, but it was unclear what caused the shooting.
