A 25-year-old woman of Indian-American descent, Lahari Pathivada, has been found dead in Oklahoma, approximately 322 kilometres away from where she was last seen in Texas. Pathivada, a resident of McKinney, Texas, went missing while driving her black Toyota to work. The news of her disappearance gained significant attention on social media, thanks to the efforts of the WOW community group in Texas.

The circumstances surrounding the discovery of her body on May 13 have not yet been revealed. Concerns arose when Pathivada failed to return home after her work shift, prompting her family to track her phone and subsequently notify the police in Oklahoma. After successfully graduating from the University of Kansas, Pathivada secured employment at the Overland Park Regional Medical Centre. Her untimely demise has left a profound impact on her family, friends, and the local community.
