The tremors transpired at 7:16 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31. According to the NCS, the earthquake was detected at a depth of 35 km.
The National Center for Seismology shared the details on social media platform X: "Magnitude 4.6 earthquake took place on 31-08-2023 at 07:16:36 IST, Latitude: 34.75 & Longitude: 71.39, Depth: 35 Km, Location: 193 km NW of Islamabad, Pakistan."
Earlier on Tuesday, the National Center for Seismology reported a seismic event measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale that impacted an area approximately 250 km away from Nepal's capital, Kathmandu.
The tremors were felt at 10:13 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29. According to the NCS, the earthquake's depth was recorded at 10 km.
The NCS shared the following information on social media platform X: "A magnitude 4.1 earthquake occurred on 29-08-2023 at 10:13:33 IST, with Latitude: 28.95 & Longitude: 83.26, Depth: 10 Km, and Location: 244 km NW of Kathmandu, Nepal."
