A few days after being bitten by stray dogs outside of his residence, businessman Parag Desai, a senior executive at Wagh Bakri Tea Group, passed away, aged 49, on Sunday.
Desai was attacked by street dogs on October 15 and sustained fatal wounds while attempting to defend himself, according to Ahmedabad Mirror.
He was taken to Shelby Hospital after a security guard outside his home alerted his family about the incident.
Desai was moved to Zydus Hospital for surgery after spending a day under observation at Shelby Hospital. Although he was receiving treatment on Sunday, he passed away from a brain haemorrhage.
Desai was the son of Rasesh Desai, the Wagh Bakri Tea Group's managing director. He has his wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha in his family.
