There has been observed continuous rain in Mumbai for the last 24 hours. The IMD said that the next few hours will be very crucial as there will be heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai district. In the last 24 hours, it has measured 225mm of rainfall.
IMD issued a Yellow alert for today, 18 July and an orange alert for Wednesday ,19 July in Mumbai.
Many regions, including Chembur, Fort, Bandra, Dahisar, Matunga, Byculla, have witnessed heavy rainfall since yesterday 17 July. Yet there is not much difficulty with road and railway transportation.
Within Mumbai, other neighbouring districts like Palghar, Thane and Kokan costal region will be having heavy rains at isolated places.
It has been raining heavily in Pune district since July 17. An alert has been issued by IMD for Ratnagiri district till 21 July.
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Jalana districts will observe thunderstorms and winds on 18 July, today. There will be heavy rains in Parbhani district, Jalna district and Nanded district of Marathwada.
