On Thursday, flooding from heavy rains caused problems for commuters by flooding low-lying paddy fields in the Mungul regions of Fatorda and the underpass at Seraulim.
There have been reports of a few trees falling at Raia and in the area of the Margao train station. Additionally, it was seen that water was accumulating between the South Goa Collectorate and the South Goa District Hospital.
Also, the sewerage department's work of constructing a pipeline under the road left it unfinished.
Additionally, there was water in the fields close to the district hospital. Two trees, one at Raia near the Arrupe Institute and another at the Margao railway station, uprooted and fell on the road, according to the Fire and Emergency services workers. Both trees were removed.
