Varanasi's 488-Year-Old Nati Imli Bharat Milap Leela Draws Lakhs on Papankusha Ekadashi

Varanasi’s 488-Year-Old Bharat Milap Leela Draws Over One Lakh Devotees! 🙏🚩

Varanasi’s Nati Imli ground witnessed a spectacular gathering for the 488-year-old Bharat Milap Leela, one of Kashi’s most cherished religious and cultural traditions.

In a rare change to its traditional schedule, the event took place on Papankusha Ekadashi instead of the day immediately following Dussehra. More than one lakh people, including foreign tourists, reportedly gathered to witness the emotional reunion of Lord Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan.

The highlight was the brief, five-minute Leela, when the four brothers embraced at precisely 4:40 PM, filling the atmosphere with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”

Continuing a centuries-old tradition, local Yadav men carried the massive five-tonne Pushpak Viman on their shoulders. The ceremony was further marked by the arrival of the Kashi Naresh on an elephant, upholding a royal tradition said to date back to 1796.

From the emotional reunion to the extraordinary community participation, Bharat Milap once again showcased the deep-rooted faith and cultural heritage of Kashi.
