Two infiltrators were killed in a joint operation in Machil sector of Kupwara in northern Kashmir, police said today. In a joint operation conducted by the Army and the Police in the Kumkadi area of the Machal sector, two infiltrating terrorists have reportedly been killed, according to the Jammu Police. This is based on an intelligence report from the Kupwara District Police. The operation is reportedly still ongoing.
The operation happened along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machil sector of Kupwara district.
Meanwhile, Security forces busted two terrorist hideouts in the Gujar Basti area of Gulshanpora Tral, Pulwama but did not find any weapon during searches.
According to The Hindu, Two AK rifles, four Magazines, 90 rounds, a pistol, a pouch and Pakistani currency were recovered from the operation site, said Yogul Manhas, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara.
