In a distressing incident that occurred in Arpora, Bardez, Goa, the lively atmosphere of the tourist season took a sorrowful twist on Saturday at approximately 3:30 AM. Unfortunately, a 27-year-old Russian tourist named Anton Bychkov was driving a car at high speed when it tragically struck three Indian tourists who were trying to enter their parked vehicle.
Unfortunately, the victims, namely Mahesh Sharma from Nashik, Dilip Kumar Bang and Monoj Kumar Soni from Hyderabad, tragically lost their lives due to a high-force collision when they innocently opened their car door. The impact was devastating to the extent that it caused the car they were about to enter to overturn.

Bychkov himself sustained severe injuries in the incident and is currently receiving medical treatment at GMC in Bamboilim. The accident took place close to the Russian Club in Arpora, which has cast a solemn atmosphere over the typically lively area.
The deep ditch on the side of the road, unfortunately, became the place where Bychkov's car came to rest, with its front portion completely smashed as it overturned. According to the Anjuna police, the accident occurred just as the deceased were about to enter their vehicle, which was parked on the opposite side of the road.
Among the group of friends, the individuals inside the car at the time of impact suffered minor injuries. Regrettably, the three individuals struck outside tragically lost their lives in the incident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivaba Dalvi assured that appropriate measures will be taken against the Russian driver held accountable for the accident. Furthermore, the police have commenced a post-mortem examination on the bodies of the deceased, as the investigation remains ongoing.
As Goa deals with this deeply saddening incident, it serves as a gentle reminder of the significance of road safety, encouraging everyone to be cautious, particularly during the ongoing festivities.
