This Maharashtra transperson represents the transgender community in the police force

We’ve all seen male cops as well as female cops but have you seen transgender cops? Well, now the Maharashtra police are recruiting trans people. It is now going to be common to see trans cops in Maharashtra as well. It is a great initiative by the Maharashtrian govt. to represent the community.

This decision was taken after Arya Pujari, a transperson, submitted a petition to the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT). She was denied applying for the 18,331 posts for constables and driver constables in Maharashtra.
