Reactions by the victim's family
The mother and child were sitting in the Fortuner's backseat when the tragedy happened. According to a police official from Ambernath, no case had been filed until late at night, as reported by PTI. There has been an alarming increase in violent road rage events in India as a result of aggressive driving.
In Maharashtra, the number of hit-and-run incidents has also alarmingly increased. An autorickshaw driver in Mumbai was sadly driven over and killed last week while he was resting on Versova Beach. Another tragic event happened in Worli when a luxury vehicle collided with a scooter. Pune also saw a startling hit-and-run involving a Porsche driven by a kid, underscoring the critical need for more stringent enforcement and increased public awareness to stop this escalating threat.
