It is purported that Seth attempted to escape in a taxi with her son's body concealed inside a bag before being captured in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka.
As per the police report to The Indian Express, Suchana Seth, the CEO of a tech start-up based in Bengaluru, was detained for allegedly killing her four-year-old son in a Goa hotel. Although she had reserved the room from January 6 to January 10, she left earlier.
Police claim that on January 7, at 9:10 p.m., Seth told the staff at Hotel Sol Banyan Grande in Candolim, North Goa, that she needed to check out because she had "urgent work in Bengaluru," and she asked them to set up a chauffeur. As per the FIR, she departed at 12.30 a.m.

Seth was apprehended in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka while purportedly attempting to escape in a taxi, stuffing her son's body into a bag. Police claim that a truck accident at Chorla Ghat, situated at the Goa-Karnataka border intersection, was a "blessing in disguise" because the taxi remained stuck for more than four hours, from two in the morning to six in the morning. "It takes approximately eleven to twelve hours to travel from Candolim to Bengaluru. Her journey was delayed by more than four hours due to the truck overturning at the Chorla Ghat, which restricted traffic flow. According to police sources, Seth had also sent a message on Saturday, January 6, to her husband, whom she is divorcing, stating that he could visit their son on Sunday in Bengaluru, per a recent court order. The couple is currently involved in divorce and custody proceedings.
According to the police, her spouse, Venkatraman PR, who also owns an AI company, was in Bengaluru at the time. "But he left for Jakarta the following day for business purposes when he did not receive any response regarding visitation on Sunday," an officer stated.

Seth, according to the police, stayed confined to the service apartment in Goa, and on January 7, an online food aggregator placed an order for coffee and some food. The hotel had a single working CCTV, according to the police, and the footage from that camera will be examined throughout the investigation.
Police report that Seth's father is in Kolkata and that her mother has passed away. As per protocol, the accused underwent a forensic medical examination on Wednesday, according to police.
