A murder case in Uttar Pradesh was solved in 48 hours, thanks to Johnny, who has become a hero among police dogs. The German Shepherd assisted in locating the suspect 22 kilometres away.
The Kasganj police were informed about the disappearance of a boy called Durvesh Kumar on October 10. Durvesh was later located dead in a millet field on the route connecting Dhakrai and Dhuviai when the police looked for him. The police had a lot of difficulties solving this blind case, but they eventually did so using Johnny Dog of the Dog Squad. The Kasganj police not only detained all three suspects in this instance but also found the tractor trolley, mill, mobile phone, and cash that had been taken from the youngster. The SP recognized Johnny for his efforts, and the entire dog squad team received an award of 25,000 rupees.
According to reports, the team conducted an investigation and used the dog to find key information. The dog's assistance allowed the smell of the dead body and the rope around the deceased's neck to be found and also found the location of the suspect's residence. The UP Police also posted a tweet in which they praised the quickness of the canine and explained how Johnny was vital in helping them solve the case of the blind murderer.
The suspects admitted under questioning that they had captured Durvesh with a tractor and flour mill on the Dhakrai and Dhubian Road, and after moving the equipment forward, the three of them strangled Durvesh to death. They then removed the tractor and flour mill that they had parked at Sidhpura, and the dead body was concealed in the millet field on the side of the road. The tractor and flour mill had been looted to be sold.
Upon discovering that Durvesh had left the house with a tractor and a flour mill and had not returned, the police were notified. The Kasganj police opened an investigation. The event location was examined by Superintendent of Police SP BBGTS Murthy, and a team of local police, surveillance, and dog squad members was assembled to uncover the incident as soon as possible. Within 48 hours, the newly formed squad solved the crime and apprehended the criminals.
