Residential fire in Hyderabad due to Car Repair spark, 9 dead

On Monday, A Five-storey residential building in the Bazarghat area of Nampally, Hyderabad faced a devastating fire claiming the lives of at least nine people, six from the same family.

Massive fire left many injured. Emergency responders swiftly shifted injured persons to nearby hospitals. 

The situation was brought under control by consistent efforts to rescue and cool down the affected area with evacuation operations for residents on upper floors being conducted through windows. So far, 21 people have been rescued, including 10 found unconscious.

As per reports, The fire erupted on the ground floor, where chemicals were stored, eventually spreading to other levels. Initial findings point to a spark during a car repair as the cause. Attempts to extinguish the flames with water proved ineffective, according to an eyewitness.

At around 9:35 am, the fire brigade was alerted, leading to the dispatch of several fire trucks to the location. The fire resulted in extensive rescue operations and continuous evaluations of the damage caused.

While experts are still figuring out why the fire happened and how much damage it caused. Today, there was another fire near Lalitha Hospital in Kothapet, Hyderabad, however no casualties and injuries have been reported as of now.
