President Murmu honour Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards 2023 to 31 People

The President of India Shreemati Draupadi Murmu has approved the Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards 2023 including Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak to 3 Individuals (Posthumous), Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak to 7 and Jeevan Raksha Padak to 21 persons. In total the award is being honoured to 31 people.

Jeevan Raksha Padak series of awards are honoured to a person for a meritorious act of humanity in saving the life of a person.  The award is given in three categories, namely, Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak, Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak and Jeevan Raksha Padak.  Persons of all walks of life are eligible for these awards.  The award can also be conferred posthumously.

Recipients are honoured with a decoration that includes a medal, a certificate bearing the signature of the Union Home Minister, and a lump sum monetary allowance. These awards are presented by the respective Union Ministries, Organizations, or State Governments to which the awardee belongs.
