The government will be releasing the 18th tranche of the PM-KISAN scheme today, where more than 9.5 crores of farmers will be receiving ₹2,000 each. This tranche worth ₹20,000 crore would serve small and marginal farmers all over the country.
It will touch all corners of India and promote the idea of agriculture in every household across the country, thus making 'Dhan dan' become a trend among all farmers.
It is provided to farmers having up to two hectares of land, and it gives ₹6,000 annually in three instalments. In this instalment, 9.25 crore farmers have been received by PM-KISAN instalment on June 18, 2024. This time, the total numbers are 25 lakh more than before.
How to Check if You're Eligible
Farmers can easily check their eligibility and enrolment status by visiting the official PM-KISAN website. To view the beneficiary list:
- Head to the beneficiary section.
- Enter your state, district, sub-district, block, and village details.
- Click ‘Get Report’ to see the list.
Local Panchayats also display beneficiary lists for farmers' convenience.
Completing Your eKYC
Farmers must ensure their eKYC is updated to continue receiving payments. There are three ways to complete this process:
- OTP-based eKYC: Requires an Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Visit the PM-KISAN portal, click "e-KYC," and complete the steps by entering your Aadhaar number and OTP.
- Biometric-based eKYC: Available at over four lakh Common Service Centres (CSC) and State Seva Kendras (SSK) for a ₹15 fee. Farmers can find their nearest CSC using the locator service.
- Face-authentication eKYC: Farmers can use their smartphones to scan their face through the PM-KISAN app and Aadhaar Face RD app.
These methods ensure farmers can continue benefiting from the scheme seamlessly. Remember to check your eKYC status on the portal or Kisan-eMitra Chatbot.
