According to two local government officials, Foxlink, an Apple supplier, has stopped operations at its assembly plant in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh after a large fire caused part of the structure to collapse on Monday.
According to J Ramanaiah, who is in charge of the state's Tirupati district's fire services department, the fire, which started in the afternoon, damaged about half of the factory's machinery.
It was not immediately clear how the incident would affect Apple's business, and there was no information available regarding its cause.
