🚨 Kenya: Multi-Storey Building Collapses in Nairobi, Seven Feared Trapped!

A multi-storey building under construction collapsed in Nairobi, Kenya, triggering an urgent search and rescue operation for seven people feared trapped beneath the rubble.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Eastleigh area. Dramatic footage reportedly shows the lower floors giving way before the entire structure crumbled, sending thick clouds of dust across nearby streets.

According to Kenya’s Interior Ministry official Kipchumba Murkomen, 66 of the 67 construction workers present at the site escaped unharmed, while one sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The seven missing people were believed to have been inside shops operating on the building’s lower floors.

Rescue teams are carefully removing debris, with concerns that heavy excavation equipment could reduce the air supply to people trapped underneath.

The collapse has raised fresh questions about construction safety and regulatory compliance. Nairobi Governor Sakaja Johnson said the building’s owners lacked the necessary paperwork for occupation, while authorities identified the company and professionals associated with the project.
