What happened
The fire hit five to six temporary food and tea shops located behind the Raipur temple. Police said the flames spread quickly through the adjoining shops. Noida’s Chief Fire Officer, Pradeep Kumar, said it began at a fast-food shop while construction work was going on. People at the spot first tried to put out the flames before alerting the fire brigade.
The police commissionerate said 12 fire tenders reached the spot and that firefighters evacuated the shops and extinguished the blaze using six of them. A fire tender stayed on site for cooling operations.
How the person died

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Abhay Kumar Misra confirmed this. The identity of the victim had not been established. An early statement from the fire department had said there was no loss of life, which police later corrected.
LPG cylinders in the area
The fire officer said a large number of LPG cylinders were found inside the affected area, and teams searched the premises to make sure no one else was trapped. Preliminary information suggested a gas cylinder also exploded during the fire, adding to the alarm among people nearby. Officials have not confirmed that.
What’s next
Senior police officers were at the site, and police said legal proceedings were under way. The exact cause of the fire and the extent of damage have not yet been officially confirmed. Authorities are also expected to look at whether the temporary shops had fire safety arrangements, especially for storing cooking gas cylinders.
