Tusher Mehta, who is the Solicitor General appearing for the Manipur government in the Centre, has mentioned that the riot situation in Manipur is slowly getting better. Two organizations namely The United People’s Front and Kuki National Organisations represent the tribal community of Manipur. Recently they withdrew a protest, by sign of removing all the roadblocks in the Kangpokpi district in the National Highway 2.
This sign from the two militant groups has been carried out, due to the appeal and concern presented by the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah. Although there had been a deeply heated situation in the state for the past few months, things seem to settle between the two communities as the situation seems to fall in the right place.
