Manipur schools set to reopen on July 5 for primary grades: CM Biren Singh

On Monday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced that schools for classes 1 to 8 in the state would resume from July 5. These schools had been closed since the first week of May due to ethnic clashes plaguing the region. The decision to reopen the schools is a positive step towards restoring normalcy and ensuring that students can continue their education without further disruptions.

Additionally, the Chief Minister informed that bunkers would be set up along Manipur's hill and valley districts. This move aims to enhance security measures and provide a sense of safety to the residents, considering the recent tensions and conflicts in the area.

The reopening of schools signifies the government's commitment to prioritize education and the well-being of students. It is expected to relieve parents and students facing challenges due to the extended closure. Implementing bunkers in strategic locations demonstrates the government's proactive approach to addressing security concerns and protecting the population.
