Maharashtra Government Doubles Pension of Freedom Fighters

There is no doubt that India not only remembers but is also very proud and thankful to all the freedom fighters. And all the soldiers who served our country and all those who still do so.

The Maharashtra government decided to honour these freedom fighters by doubling their pension.

Freedom fighters used to get rs 10 thousand but now the Maharashtra government has decided to increase the pension to rs 20 thousand per month.

This decision will definitely help and be beneficial for those who were part of India’s freedom struggle, Marathwada Mukti Sangram and Goa Liberation Movement.

This decision will add an additional annual burden of Rs 74.75 crore rupees on the state exchequer and will help about 6,229 surviving patriots across all of maharashtra.
