The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in India increased by ₹209 as of today. This adjustment in pricing was part of the monthly revision by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). The new price for a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder is ₹1,731.50 in Delhi and ₹1,684 in Mumbai.
This increase comes after two successive reductions in August and September, where the price was lowered by approximately ₹250. However, this time, the rate has gone up, impacting the cost for businesses that rely on commercial LPG cylinders. The updated costs for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders are as follows in some other states: Haryana: 1,536.00, Gujarat: 1,595.50, and Kolkata: 1,995.50.
The cost of domestic LPG, which is typically used in home kitchens for cooking, remained constant at 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder, despite changes in the price of commercial LPG. The pricing of LPG, including commercial and domestic cylinders, is subject to changes by OMCs based on various factors, including international oil prices and supply concerns. It's essential for businesses and consumers alike to stay informed about these price revisions, as they can impact daily expenses and budgets.
Additionally, aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices also increased by 5% today, which may lead to a rise in airfares. Airlines often attribute a significant portion of ticket prices to ATF costs. These fuel price adjustments are made based on the average international price in the previous month.
