A massive fire tore through a Wow! Momo warehouse and a neighbouring godown in Kolkata’s Anandapur area on January 26, killing at least 25 people, most of them migrant workers.
Investigators say locked exits, lack of fire clearance, and unauthorised activity worsened the tragedy.
Police have arrested the warehouse manager and deputy manager for criminal negligence.
The incident has raised urgent questions about worker safety, compliance, and accountability in commercial spaces.
