#TheUnsungHero : In 1979 thousands of snakes were dying on the banks of the Brahmaputra river.
A 16 year old boy named Jadhav Payeng noticed they had no shelter.
No trees no plants nothing. He asked everyone what could grow here for years. Someone suggested bamboo.
With no support and no team he planted just one sapling every single day.
That one daily act turned into a 1300 acre forest now known as Molai Forest named after his middle name.
Today the forest is home to tigers, elephants and countless birds and animals.
For his silent revolution Jadhav Molai Payeng was awarded the Padma Shri in 2015.
His story proves that if one person truly decides they can create a path anywhere.
