In the latest incident of rising violence in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt in the Poonch district, resulting in one soldier being injured. The White Knight Corps reported that alert troops engaged infiltrating terrorists with effective fire in the Battal Sector at approximately 3:00 AM on Tuesday. During the exchange of heavy fire, one soldier sustained injuries. The operations are still ongoing in the sector.

This incident comes on the heels of several other attacks in the Jammu region:
- Rajouri Attack: Earlier, terrorists attempted to attack an army camp and the residence of Shaurya Chakra Awardee Parshotam Kumar. The army repelled the attack, with one soldier injured.

- Doda District Attack: Last Friday, terrorists launched an assault on a temporary army camp in a school, using guns and grenades.
- Previous Attacks: Four soldiers, including a captain, were killed in Doda last week, while five soldiers lost their lives in an ambush in Kathua district.
The rising violence has raised significant concerns, with 48 army soldiers losing their lives to terrorist attacks in Jammu over the past 32 months. In response, the army is deploying additional troops, including special forces, to combat the well-trained terrorists.
