In a shocking incident aboard an IndiGo Airlines flight from Delhi to Chennai, a man was arrested for allegedly molesting a female co-passenger. The accused, identified as 45-year-old Rajesh Sharma, was apprehended by the police after the flight landed at Chennai airport on October 9. Sharma, a marble tile layer by profession, was taken into custody following the woman's complaint.
Incident Occurs Mid-Flight
The female passenger, who was returning home after a trip to Jaipur and Delhi, reported that Sharma, seated behind her, touched her inappropriately during the flight. Speaking to NDTV, a police officer explained, "The accused is alleged to have inappropriately touched the woman during the flight." Upon receiving her complaint, the cabin crew immediately notified the authorities.
Investigation Underway
Local police at Chennai airport helped the woman file a written complaint, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway. As of now, IndiGo Airlines has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
