The pair expressed their gratitude to the Army in the letter, for their affection, tenacity, and devotion to their motherland. They went on to say, "We owe a deep debt of gratitude to you for keeping us safe. Because of you, we sleep peacefully. Thank you for giving us happy days with our loved ones. Because of you, we are getting married happily. We are extremely delighted to invite you on our special day. We wish for your presence and blessings."

Rahul and Karthika from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala's capital city wrote the yellow invitation to "Dear Heroes."

The Indian Army posted the invitation on their authorized Instagram page on 18 November, writing, "Best Wishes. #IndianArmy conveys sincere thanks to Rahul & Karthika for the wedding Invite and wishes the couple a very Happy & Blissful Wedded Life. #TogetherForever"

This picture of the handwritten note was posted a day ago. Until now, it has received many comments and 1,14,300 likes.

In the Instagram comments, one commenter posted, "Great gesture by these two." The second user wrote, "This is amazing!" "The best to express the love we've in our hearts for our real heroes," stated the third person. Another individual replied, "Wow, this is the best wedding invite ever. Jai hind to our real heroes."

Due to its social significance, this wedding invitation is not the only one to go popular.

A wedding card belonging to Haryana's Bushan village native Pradeep Kaliramana grabbed headlines in January due to its outspoken political implications. So instead of religious sentiments, the card stated, “Jang abhi jaari hai, MSP ki baari hai (The battle is still on, now the fight is for MSP)”. There were more statements, including ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kishan’ (Hail the soldier and the farmer!). They also raised a banner with a tractor emblem that said ‘No Farmers, No Food'.
