The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a 'yellow' alert for Mumbai and its suburbs on Thursday. This advisory indicates the potential occurrence of thunderstorms with lightning and wind gusts in one or two locations. Similarly, a warning has been extended for Palghar, Raigad, and Thane for the upcoming two days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is anticipated in Ratnagiri. Moreover, an 'orange' warning has also been issued for certain areas.
Flight delays were reported at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Wednesday, possibly due to the ongoing rain. IndiGo stated that the delay was caused by 'challenging weather conditions' and 'air traffic congestion' when responding to inquiries on social media.

Additionally, moderate rain or thunderstorm is expected in most places of North Konkan districts, while some areas in North Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada districts may experience moderate rain or thundershowers.
