Delhi's renowned marketplaces, starting with the iconic Chandni Chowk, will now be accessible online through 'Delhi Bazaar,' a virtual marketplace dedicated to these signature markets. The objective is to garner global attention for these markets by uniting their popular establishments on a digital platform, thereby broadening their consumer base and outreach.
The 'Delhi Bazar' platform, endorsed by the Delhi government, will grant access to individuals worldwide, enabling them to virtually explore Delhi's markets and conveniently make purchases of their preferred products.
Delhi's Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, shared, "We aspire to enhance the appeal of other markets in Delhi, mirroring the success of Chandni Chowk, with the aim of attracting more visitors and fostering thriving businesses." He made this statement during his participation in the 'Chandni Chowk Shopping Festival' held at Rangpuri.
This event was a collaborative effort between the traders of Chandni Chowk and the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI), showcasing a diverse array of shops including clothing and food stalls. The Delhi CM stressed that similar events could be organized in different markets and sectors to facilitate interaction between buyers and sellers.
