On Tuesday, March 8, the East Coast Railway conducted its first passenger train with an all-female crew. On March 8th, an unique train with an all-female crew began running between Visakhapatnam and Rayagada.
In addition to Assistant Loco Pilot N Madhuri and Goods Guard K Ramya, Loco Pilot Sadhana Kumari was in charge of the train.
The train was hailed off by Anjula Sahu, the SER Women's Welfare Organization, and Vijay Kumar Sahu, the Divisional Railway Manager, after it had been turned into a women-only special train between two stops in the Chakradharpur division of SER.
