A leakage of gas at a chemical factory near the Ambernath area in the Thane district occurred late in the night, Thursday. The leakage happened during the process of venting gas, which further spread fumes over the surrounding regions. The fire brigade officials from Ambernath immediately reached the scene.

After receiving reports about the leakage of the gas, the fire brigade personnel arrived at the site to assess the situation. Prompt action on their part contained the situation and ensured that things did not spiral out of control. Cause of the Gas Leak
