Emergency declared at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport over Bomb Threat on Air India Flight

A full time emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat on an Air India flight coming from Mumbai.

The 135 passengers on board were landed safely at the Thiruvananthapuram airport around 8 am and were moved to an isolation bay, airport sources said.

Bomb Threat on Air India Flight

By 8.44am, passengers were safely taken off the plane.

The bomb was reported by the pilot at 7.30 am as the flight reached the Thiruvananthapuram airport, 

The sources said - “There has been no impact on life. Airport operations are currently uninterrupted.” 

Details on the origin of the threat and other information are yet to be determined, they added.
