Strong earthquakes were felt in Delhi and the National Capital Region on Sunday afternoon, days after equally strong jolts were felt on October 3. The earthquake that struck Delhi and nearby regions on Sunday at 4:08 p.m. was estimated to have a magnitude of 3.1. The National Centre for Seismology states that the earthquake struck Faridabad in Haryana at a depth of 10 kilometres. The earthquake's epicentre was located 30 kilometres southeast of Delhi and 9 kilometres east of Faridabad. There are no reports of any injuries or damages yet.
The recent earthquake of magnitude 6.2 that originated in Nepal at a depth of 5km was stronger than Sunday's quake.
