Delhi Police holds full dress rehersal in preparation for G20

In full dress rehearsals for the next G20 Summit, the Delhi Police escorted caravans from all across the city. For route suggestions to and from the airport, train stations, and bus terminals, the police recommended commuters monitor real-time traffic updates on the "G-20 Virtual Help Desk" in order to ensure efficient traffic flow. The rehearsals were scheduled for 8–9 am, 9:30–10 am, and 1–4 pm at three different times. During these rehearsals, there will be traffic restrictions in place in the IP Flyover, Rajghat Chowk, Mathura Road, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, and other places.

The traffic police advised commuters to prepare ahead and consider utilising the metro because there was heavier gridlock on several roads as a result of the increased commuter use. Similar drills took place on Saturday as well.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has also established a 24-7 G20 Control Room at its Disaster Management Centre to improve its disaster management skills and assist with the next summit. The National Disaster Management Council (NDMC) extended gratitude to its chairman, Amit Yadav, secretary, Dr. Ankita Chakravarty, and other council members for their diligent oversight and monitoring of all G20 Summit preparations.

The overall goal of these preparations and actions is to ensure that the Delhi G20 Summit will take place with little disruption to the city's traffic and disaster management systems.
