The 7th India Mobile Congress (IMC) was formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday at the Bharat Mandapam convention center in Pragati Maidan, Delhi.
At Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the 7th edition of the India Mobile Congress. Leading personalities in the telecom sector gathered for this esteemed event to present state-of-the-art technology, have important conversations, and foster innovation.

This is a major platform for showcasing India's remarkable advancements in technology and telecommunications, with the opportunity to showcase innovative products and solutions from up-and-coming companies and notable disclosures.
The prime minister was observed mingling with executives from top telecom providers. The Prime Minister was welcomed by Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd Chairman Akash Ambani, who briefed him on what his business is doing in the telecoms sector.
He gave an explanation of Reliance Jio's Space Fibre program, which offers speeds of up to 1 Gbps. The 4G service-providing Jio Bharat device is also on show at the Jio pavilion. The Prime Minister also had interactions with Bharti Enterprises' chairman, Sunil Bharti Mittal. Bharti Enterprises is demonstrating what it refers to as the "future of innovation" at the Mobile Congress through digital infrastructure, AI-enabled technology, and 5G Plus
Shri Akash M. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., praised the Prime Minister for his dedication to enhancing the lives of future generations by encouraging the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, which in turn powers India's digital public infrastructure. He emphasized how the country's youth look up to the Prime Minister for inspiring them to make the Digital India initiative viable, inventive, and inclusive. He disclosed that Jio has deployed more than 10 lakh 5G cells over all 22 Indian circuits, accounting for 85% of the total 5G distribution in which the 5G stack rollout is created, developed, and produced by skilled Indian labor. With a user base, India is one of the top 3/5 G-enabled countries.
Within the program, the Prime Minister granted 100 "5G Use Case Labs" to academic institutions throughout the nation.
Speaking to the gathering, the prime minister stated that this event has the potential to alter the lives of millions of people in the rapidly evolving 21st century. "The future is here and now," the prime minister remarked, highlighting the rapid advancement of technology. He commended the exhibition, which was set up specifically to offer a look at future developments in connectivity, technology, and telecommunication. He stated, "The future is going to be entirely different and it is a matter of happiness that our young generation is leading the tech revolution," citing the fields of 6G, AI, cyber security, semiconductors, drone or space sectors, deep sea, green tech, or any other sectors.
In recent years, India's startup ecosystem has established a noteworthy presence globally, as highlighted by the Prime Minister. Shri Modi said, "India has produced a century of unicorns in a comparatively short amount of time and is currently among the top 3 startup ecosystems in the world." The Prime Minister claimed that only a few hundred companies called India home before 2014; as of right now, there are roughly one lakh. Prime Minister Modi also discussed the Indian Mobile Congress's "Aspire" program, which aims to mentor businesses throughout the nation. He stated his belief that this initiative will have a significant positive impact on India's youth. He emphasized the need to commemorate India's journey.
He mentioned how, in the past, India was a mobile phone importer, but that country is now the world's second-largest mobile phone maker. Shri Modi stated that India is currently exporting electronics worth roughly Rs 2 lakh crores, pointing out the lack of vision displayed by previous governments when it comes to the manufacturing of electronics.
The Prime Minister said something. He encouraged the India Mobile Congress members to proceed in this manner, particularly the younger ones. The Prime Minister continued, saying, "As we work toward becoming a developed India, the shift of moving forward as thought leaders can bring revolutionary changes in the entire sector."
The event was attended by a number of prominent figures in the communications industry, including Union Minister for Communications Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of State for Communications, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, Shri Akash M Ambani, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, Shri Sunil Bharti Mittal, and Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, Shri Kumar Mangalam Birla.
