Cloudburst claims one life and Injures, leaves three Injured in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu

One person named Badal Sharma died and three more sustained injuries in a cloudburst that occurred in Kayas village, Kullu district on Monday, 17 July, early morning. 

The District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) said that one person died on the spot and others got washed away. The incident occurred at around 4 am and the rescue team ran for help right after they received a call. The IMD had already issued an orange alert of heavy rains for Himachal Pradesh on Monday, 17 July. 

Since June 24, there has been continuous rain, landslides, accidents, floods in the state of Himachal Pradesh. 41 flash floods, 53 landslides, 117 died, more than 100 are injured and many of them are missing in Himachal Pradesh's seven districts out of 12. Many roads, including highways, have been blocked for a long time due to the critical situation in Himachal Pradesh. It is said that the state has faced almost Rs. 4,414.95 crore of losses. 

An entire village in Spiti district which was situated at high altitude has been washed away in a flash flood and a rescue team moved people to a safer place. 

But the state government hasn't received any kind of financial help from the centre. But the state government is prioritising road restoration, as for the entire rescue operations and to help people, smooth transportation is necessary.
