Central Delhi: You are not allowed to order from Swiggy, Zomato, or Amazon from 8-10 Sept ahead of G20

The newly constructed Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, which serves as an international conference and exhibition center, will host the G20 Leaders' Summit from September 9 to 10. Due to the G20's prominence, the New Delhi district is subject to several limitations, including the suspension of all commercial and internet delivery services during that period.

According to PTI, all cloud kitchens, companies, markets, food delivery services, and commercial delivery services in the New Delhi region will be shuttered for three days.

“We can't allow cloud kitchen and food delivery services. Internet delivery companies such as Amazon and Flipkart will also not be allowed to operate in the controlled zone. Delivery executives can take medicines and essential items,” Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) SS Yadav said on September 4 during a press conference.

Special Commissioner of Police SS Yadav continued that the cloud kitchens and food delivery, or any commercial deliveries like Amazon deliveries, would not be allowed as we have stopped commercial services in the NDMC region.

Deliveries of vital medical supplies, however, including lab results and sample gathering, will be permitted everywhere around the city. Vehicles used for housekeeping, catering, trash removal, etc. by hotels, hospitals, and other sizable New Delhi District establishments will be permitted after verification.

''Essential services such as postal and medical services, sample collections by path labs will be allowed throughout Delhi,'' Mr Yadav added.

The senior officer further stated that, other than the Supreme Court station, there will be no changes to the metro services.

Due to VIP mobility and security measures, stations' gates may be closed for ten to fifteen minutes. However, he stressed, that metro services at other stations will not be impacted, except Pragati Maidan (Supreme Court).

Since the G20 meeting will be taking place from September 8 to 10, all central government offices in the nation's capital will be stopped.
