In a major crackdown, Bhopal Police has busted a massive fake currency racket with a direct link to Pakistan.
An accused named Saiful Islam, originally from West Bengal, was arrested near Saifia College with counterfeit notes worth ₹1,40,000.
The investigation has revealed shocking details: these fake notes were printed on actual Pakistani paper.
The case gets even more complex as police discovered foreign bank transactions and the use of UK SIM cards along with US-based ISD numbers for WhatsApp communication.
Authorities believe the accused had been operating this network in Bhopal for the last two years, successfully circulating a large amount of fake cash into the local market.
A police team is now heading to West Bengal to track down the mastermind behind this operation.
