On Saturday, October 7th, Bengaluru's Purple Line metro is scheduled to go fully operational. The inauguration will take place on Friday, October 6, and the public will be able to use the services on Saturday, October 7, according to Bangalore Metro updates.
The Purple Line will be fully functional with the opening of the Krishnarajapuram - Baiyappanahalli and Kengeri -Challaghatta stretch. With a length of 42.5 kilometres, the purple line will be Bengaluru's longest metro line.
On March 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Krishnarajapuram–Whitefield (Kadugodi) Purple Line of the Bangalore Metro.
With 29 elevated stations, 5 underground stations, and 1 at-grade station, the Purple Line is mainly elevated.
According to a News 18 report, the metro ride from Challaghatta to Whitefield is expected to take 76 minutes (about) and costs ₹60.
