Anuj Sharma, also identified as Achitya Govind Das, was arrested on Thursday, as stated by the police. For the preceding seven to eight years, Sharma had been affiliated with the "Hare Krishna" movement. Sharma is not active for the past year, as stated by a director for the organisation in Jaipur, due to the death of his mother.

On the night of December 11, Sharma contacted the authorities that his aunt Saroj Sharma (65), who'd already gone to the temple the same morning, was missing. His statements were shown to be false during the investigation, and as a result, police said, his activities were observed. He can be seen leaving his home with a backpack in CCTV footage. They said that a relative had watched him washing bloodstains close to the apartment's kitchen.

USING HAMMER TO KILL HIS AUNT:-

Anuj Sharma was then incarcerated on December 13. He confessed, according to officials, that he had beat his aunt over the head with a hammer before murdering her. They said that Saroj Sharma, the husband of his father's older brother, had been residing with them since the passing of her husband in 1995. They stated that Anuj Sharma's mother passed away last year. The accused and the victim were alone in the home on December 11 since Anuj Sharma's father had left for Indore, according to the police. She declined to let Anuj Sharma travel to Delhi. They said that during a contentious debate, he struck her with a hammer.

The kitchen is where the incident happened. According to investigators, the suspect used a marble cutter to cut the body into eight to ten pieces after dragging it to the restroom.

"The culprit removed the body parts and put them at different spots anywhere along Delhi highway in a bag. As per Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Paris Deshmukh, the majority of the body parts have been found. The incident is reminiscent to the murder of Shraddha Walker, a 27-year-old woman, who was supposedly committed by her live-in husband in Delhi.
