18 dead in UP bus accident, double decker bus rams milk tanker

On July 10, 2024, early in the morning, a terrible incident occurred on the Lucknow-Agra Motorway. When a double-decker bus and a milk tanker collided, nineteen people were hurt, and eighteen people died.

Around five fifteen in the morning, the bus, travelling from Sitamarhi, Bihar, to Delhi, collided with the rear of the milk tanker. Some people were thrown out of the bus due to the severity of the incident. Three ladies and one child were among the deceased.

Gaurang Rathi, the top official in Unnao district, told reporters about the accident. He said the injured people were taken to hospitals for treatment.

People who saw the crash site said it was very upsetting. There were bodies on the ground, broken metal and glass, and people's things scattered everywhere.

Government response

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also felt bad about the accident. He said the government would give ₹2 lakh to the families of those who died and ₹50,000 to those who were hurt.


Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, was very sad about what happened. He told his staff to make sure the injured people got good care.
