Former Student Threatens Teachers, Opens Fire At Kerala School

A disturbing event occurred at a school on Tuesday morning when a former student threatened faculty and kids with a gun.

The Vivekodayam Boys Higher Secondary School was the location of the incident. The accused is seen in the CCTV footage pulling in and sitting in a chair at the staff office.

The youngster, identified as Jagan (19), a resident of Mulayam near Thrissur, was taken into custody by police when they arrived at the school. He attended the school in the past. There are not any losses. The child is accused of becoming a drug addict while attending school.

CCTV footage shows that he first went to the principal's office at the school before going to the staff and classrooms.

Television networks are airing footage of the accused sitting in the school's staff lounge, brandishing a revolver that he took out of his backpack.

Shortly after the event, District Collector V R Krishna Teja hurried to the school to gather information. He assured the parents not to worry, as the problem had been handled, and stated it was an isolated incident.

"A teenager has visited the school. He used his pistol and fired two or three bullets, a little shaky. The administration of the school has informed us of this. He was placed under arrest. An investigation is ongoing because this is a singular occurrence. You don't need to be concerned. We're all present. Teja told reporters that "he will be produced before the doctor." The accused's age could not be readily determined.

It is yet unclear why the threat is being made. The young person will get a medical evaluation by Thrissur Town East police to determine whether or not he is impaired by drugs or alcohol.
