"Normal Day in Bihar": Farmer Carries 5-Foot Live Crocodile on Shoulder to Police Station

The phrase "Ek Bihari 100 pe bhari" (One Bihari is equal to a hundred others) recently came to life in an unbelievable incident from Supaul district, Bihar. A local farmer went viral on social media after he was caught on camera casually walking down the street with a 5-foot-long live crocodile slung over his shoulder.

Key Highlights of the Incident:

• The Discovery: Farmers working in Lalpur village unexpectedly spotted the massive reptile lurking in a paddy field, triggering initial panic among the villagers.

• The Daring Rescue: Showing incredible courage and presence of mind, a farmer named Amit Kumar, along with other villagers, managed to safely restrain the crocodile by tying its snout with a rope to ensure it wouldn't harm anyone.

• A Bizarre Journey: With no immediate help arriving, Amit Kumar hoisted the heavy reptile onto his shoulder. He first walked to the local forest department office, but finding no officials present, he continued his journey on foot straight to the Bhimnagar police station.

• Safe Release: The surprised police officers immediately contacted the forest department. After a quick health assessment, the team safely released the healthy crocodile back into the Kosi River.

According to forest officials, the rising water levels during the monsoon season often force wild animals out of their natural habitats and into nearby farmlands. While officials praised the villagers for not harming the animal, they strongly advised the public not to attempt such dangerous rescues themselves.
