In an emotional turn of events, actor Omi Vaidya—best known for playing Chatur Ramalingam (Silencer) in the blockbuster movie 3 Idiots—has stepped forward to support climate activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk, the real-life inspiration behind the movie's iconic character, Phunsukh Wangdu.

Wangchuk’s hunger strike demanding constitutional safeguards under the 6th Schedule and statehood for Ladakh has crossed 17 days. According to medical reports, the veteran activist has lost over 8 kilograms, raising serious concerns about his declining health.

Despite the physical toll, Wangchuk remains steadfast, sharing a powerful reminder with the public: "I am not Gandhi; be the hero of your own life and stand up for your rights.
