When Healing is a Family legacy, Medcart's Neeraj Rastogi has a huge responsibility on his shoulders

Neeraj Rastogi has been a man of vision and ambition. Born and brought up in Dehradun, he is a proud son of the land of scenic beauty and a thriving culture. Neeraj's family had been in the pharmaceuticals business for over four decades, and he had grown up learning the intricacies of the trade. His father had started the business in 1977, and Neeraj joined the company in 1999 after completing his MBA in marketing and finance. He was determined to take his family's legacy forward and make it a successful venture.

The Rastogi family had been into pharmacy, distribution, and retailing, and had built a reputation for themselves over the years. However, as time passed, Neeraj realized that the world is changing, and so were people's needs. The demand for quality healthcare was rising, and the traditional model of medicine delivery was not enough to meet the needs of the hour. Neeraj realized that there was a need for innovation, and he set out to create something that would cater to the modern-day demands of healthcare.

Neeraj's passion for innovation and his understanding of the pharmaceutical business led him to create MedCart. MedCart became India's first super-speciality and life-saving drug delivery platform, a concept that was unheard of until then. MedCart encompassed the combined expertise of over 45 years of legacy that the Rastogi family had built. It became a platform that aimed to provide life-saving drugs to people across India, regardless of their location or disease.

MedCart isn't just any other pharmacy. It is a unique concept that catered to the needs of people suffering from rare and life-threatening diseases such as cancer and neurology. MedCart provided a platform for people to access these medicines without having to worry about their availability or accessibility. The company was initially set up in Delhi and Noida but has slowly been expanding to other parts of India.

What made MedCart stand out is its direct association with the manufacturers of the drugs. MedCart is the direct distributor and retailer of multinational and Indian companies. This meant that the company had access to the latest and most effective medicines. MedCart is managed by professionals who were experts in the field and had years of experience in providing quality healthcare.

MedCart went live last year, i.e., in 2022, as an online platform and got an overwhelming response from people. The platform provided certain life-saving medicines that were not easily available at stores. It also catered to medicines that required cold chain maintenance, something that most people were not aware of. MedCart maintained certain protocols to deliver medicines with utmost care to ensure that the medicines' quality is not compromised.

MedCart believed in quality delivery and quality medicines. The company understood that the cold chain was an essential part of costly medicines. If a person is paying a huge amount of money for a single medicine or injection, it needed to be delivered with utmost care. MedCart had been doing it for ages, and they were very experienced with the problems that came with delivering quality healthcare to people. They understood that the family suffering from health issues is already in panic mode, and hence they educated them and delivered quality medicines at affordable prices.

MedCart analyzed prescriptions and educated people before delivering them. The company completely fulfilled the government norms such as analyzing all the forms and prescriptions before delivering. The company also provided patient support assistance as per company guidelines.

When asked about what made him start out on his own, Neeraj replied that big companies had started coming in and approaching them to get aligned with MedCart. He believed that people who believed in caring about people should do this medicine business. It should not be done only for the sake of money.

Patients needed to be taken care of, and helping everyone is important.
