From a small door alarm that alerts people when the door opens to a projector to project the cell phone content to a large screen, there was no problem too difficult to tackle for Pavan Nettam who from the very start was interested in finding solutions for real-world problems.
In Pavan's mind the main success wasn’t solving these problems, it was in making sure that he explained the solution to the problem in such a way that it managed to impress his clients and users. So, how did Pavan's journey begin? What sets Pavan apart from the others?
Pavan's talent is in seeing the world through the eyes of an innovator, he sees an issue and strives to resolve it and that’s what began his journey. During his college years, he noticed a problem; he found that the way placements are managed in the universities is out-dated. There were hundreds of emails that students received from various companies from the placement office on any given day. Students are supposed to register for every single company manually.
Pavan himself missed a mail once and lost the opportunity to get into a company and thus decided to make sure that nobody else should have to go through the disappointing process of missing out on opportunities, and thus he built Placify.
Before we get into what Placify does, let’s meet the team. Located at Banashankari stage III, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, Placify boasts a team of 3 young entrepreneurs striving to make the world an easier place one step at a time. This team did not let their inexperience prevent them from doing something awe-inspiring they took it as a chance to strive forward even more confidently.
Pavan didn’t just focus on the students, he made sure to generate a solution for the universities as well as companies at the same time. For the students, Placify provides the ability to automate and hence removes the tiring need to keep track of all the emails and deadlines.
For companies, Placify allows the filtration process which makes sure to keep track of student eligibility for each job. There is a company login as well which allows companies to hire the best possible mind for each job.
Strength in diversity is the belief that drives Pavan forward. He truly believes that the best ideas come from a group of diverse individuals as their varying experiences in life allow them to learn and gather more ideas. Pavan's strength lies in making sure that this group of diverse individuals can work together and reach a solution efficiently.
Pavan's next priority is to inspire the people on the team and make sure to give full freedom to each individual on the team to express their ideas and ensure that they can work in the way they want to. He believes that each individual has come from a separate walk of life and had learned a different set of skills and making sure that each individual is heard is his main priority.
Having learned many different skill sets such as AWS cloud to AI and deep tech Pavan is known for his obsession with making sure that everything runs smoothly and perfectly as it should. His team members may call him stubborn and obsessed but it does not bother him since his love for Placify is what drives him out of bed every single day.
He falls asleep thinking about what else can be done to make Placify run smoother and better, having lost his chance at an opportunity made Pavan determined to make sure that no other student can miss out on their opportunity.
Blessed with a truly wonderful co-founder Rakshitha, Pavan made his dreams into a reality. Though known for having the same mindset with different points of view they work together seamlessly as a team. A dream becomes a reality when you find someone to build it alongside you.
Pavan now strives to push other innovators ahead to build their team and strives to bring better ways to do so by putting forward the changes a university could inculcate within themselves to make this happen like giving students a year off to work on their startups.
