A strong earthquake hit South Africa, few hours ago in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. It was accosted with a 5 Richter magnitude on 11th June, before dawn. The depth of the earthquake was about 10km, and the epicenter was 17 km southeast of Johannesburg, which was stated by the report of Crisis 24. Earlier this morning, a tweet fromAfrica View Facts, posted videos of this catastrophic event and said that “The South African city of Johannesburg experienced a moderate earthquake, with a preliminary magnitude of about 5.0 The tremor was widely felt not only within the city but also throughout the entire region.”
This earthquake is said to be the strongest in the city by far, with the last recorded earthquake on 2017, which impacted the city with a 5.2 magnitude Richter near Stilfontein.
