Gurucharan Singh, renowned for portraying Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular television show *Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah*, has been hospitalized in Mumbai due to severe health complications arising from prolonged food and water deprivation.

**Health Concerns and Hospitalization**

Reports indicate that Gurucharan Singh has abstained from consuming solid food since May 2024, subsisting solely on liquids. In the past 19 days, he has also refrained from drinking water, leading to a significant decline in his health. This extreme fasting resulted in unconsciousness, prompting his immediate admission to a hospital.

Bhakti Soni, a close friend of the actor, expressed deep concern over his condition. She revealed that despite efforts from family and friends to encourage him to resume eating and drinking, Gurucharan remained steadfast in his refusal. Bhakti mentioned that he has been facing financial difficulties and personal challenges, which may have contributed to his current state. She stated, "He hasn't eaten food or drunk water for 19 days. Because of that, he fell unconscious and was quickly rushed to the hospital."

In April 2024, Gurucharan Singh was reported missing for 25 days, eventually returning to his Delhi home in May. Since his return, he has struggled to secure work in the entertainment industry, leading to increased stress and a sense of isolation. Bhakti noted that his family had become increasingly concerned, especially as he expressed a desire to take 'sanyas' (renunciation) and exhibited signs of severe depression.

As of the latest updates, Gurucharan Singh remains hospitalized, with medical professionals closely monitoring his condition. Friends and family continue to urge him to accept medical treatment and resume a regular diet to facilitate his recovery.
