The series followed the saga of the most powerful god of Greek mythology, Zeus. The series had a decent start, with fans appreciating the modern twists in the old folklore. Starring Jeff Goldblum as the series’ protagonist, the series is announced not to move forward with a season 2.

The reason for the 8-episode series not getting the green light after the first is not revealed clearly. According to rumors, it has been noted that it could not gather enough views, resulting in a shutdown. The director of the series, Charlie Covell, mentioned that it may be possible that they might return, but as of now the series remains canceled.

  • The Brother Suns

The popular 2024 action comedy, The Brother Sun, had an epic start in January. The series followed a disclosure of a rich Asian family, The Suns, living in L.A. The family has been hiding a huge secret from the youngest family heir, Bruce, that they are related to the dark sides of Taiwan.

They are a mafia family hailing from the darkest places in South Asia. The comedy series broke out to be the trendiest series of 2024, yet it could not make it to season 2. The series was canceled due to its low viewership.

  • My Lady Jane

My Lady Jane, which premiered on Prime Video, became quite popular with its quirky storyline. Based on a historic Nine Day Queen in 1554, Lady Jane Grey (Dudley post-marriage) was accidentally elected as the crown queen of England and Ireland in 1553. The series portrayed a modern and fantasy periodic drama of Lady Jane and her journey to be the most feared monarch of the Edwardian era.

The series had a great following post-release but now stands canceled after facing a lot of criticism. The viewership too affected the series, and hence it will not be returning for season 2.

  • Daybreak

Based on a comic series by Brian Ralph, the series was based on a post-apocalyptic world. A boy named Josh Wheeler happens to be a loser yet is lucky in love. After a strange apocalyptic situation, things become more of a survival battleground. Giving Mad Max Fury vibes, the series was taken well by the audience, but it remained uncertain whether it would have a second season.

It was revealed that the low views on the series caused the makers to shut it down. The coming-of-age series is still available on Netflix.

An interesting comedy mystery drama, the series brought a lot of fun onboard. The NYPD cop gets a mysterious case while his father comes to town. He engages himself with his son and helps him solve the mystery. As the series goes by, the father-son duo makes it fun at work while the case takes a curious turn.

The series had a great start, but among the rest, it too couldn’t go past one season. With mixed reviews, the series was brought down from Netflix.
